Ali-Reza Bhojani is Teaching Fellow in Islamic Theology and Ethics at the University of Birmingham’s Department of Theology and Religion. He also lectures at Al-Mahdi Institute, Birmingham, and is the co-director of the Centre for Intra-Muslim Studies. He is the author of Moral Rationalism and Shari’a (Routledge, 2015) and co-editor of Visions of Sharīʿa (Brill, 2020). Morgan Clarke is Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Oxford and a fellow of Keble College. He is the author of Islam and New Kinship: Reproductive Technology and the Shariah in Lebanon (Berghahn, 2009) and Islam and Law in Lebanon: Sharia within and without the State (CUP, 2018).
