Qur'an Recitation Course for Beginners
This course is aimed at students who are only just beginning to learn to recite the Qur'an. Designed to allow students to progress at their own pace, it begins by introducing students to the Arabic alphabet and script, before progressing to the correct articulation of letters, and later, to their conjunction and vowelisation.
By the end of the course, students will be confidently able to correctly identify, articulate, and conjoin Arabic letters, and thereby, recite short verses of the Qur'an. They will also be able to proceed to the Qur'anic Arabic (Tajwid) Course.
Students are not required to have any prior knowledge of Arabic.
The course runs for 25 weeks over three terms. Classes are held on Fridays from 7.15pm to 8.45pm. The first term of the next cycle shall commence on Friday, 6 October 2023.
