Science Seminar Series

A neuroprosthetic speech device that reads the brain of a mute patient, allowing them to communicate once more, is surely a good thing, but it also raises key ethical questions on the origin and transcription of that speech. This seminar will explore solutions implemented in The Human Brain Project and the BrainCom Project to account for ethical decision making based on dialogue and reasoned collective responsibility.
