Ms. Sara Youssef has a BA in translation and interpreting from Al-Azhar University, Cairo and an MA in teaching Arabic as a foreign language (TAFL) from the American University in Cairo (AUC). She taught Arabic language at different proficiency levels and  in different universities including (AUC, SVSU/ Michigan and at Middlebury college, USA). 

Before she came to Oxford, she worked as the manager of the Languages programs at the American University’s SCE (including management of Arabic, ESL and translation programs) for three years. 

Her research interests include language pedagogy, discourse analysis and translation.
